A glimpse of Khanpur Dam

Khanpur Dam nearly located on Haro river in Potowar plateau in Khanpur town district Haripur KPK Pakistan. It is around 45 km away from federal capital Islamabad. The Khanpur Dam was built in 1983. The reservoirs of Dam’s water supply to Islamabad and Rawalpindi cities and also accommodate agriculture, industrial purposes in the region.


The Khanpur Dam surrounded by lush green hills and fill with green, blue water. Every year thousands of tourists are attracted to visit for cliff jumping, jet ski, family boating, zipline, camping, and water tubing.

The Khanpur Dam have surrounded several significant Buddhist's archaeologist sites of Gandhara and Kushan civilizations.
